Young Authors Fair

Trenton Lee Stewart and Jay Asher are participating in the 2009 Young Authors Fair sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford, the Lafayette County Literary Council, Square Books Jr., and other collaborators. In preparation for the fair, every fifth grader in the county read Stewart’s first novel for children, The Mysterious Benedict Society. All fifth graders are invited to attend the Stewart program at Fulton Chapel during the Oxford Conference for the Book. High school students will also participate in the Young Author’s Fair. Students are encouraged to read Jay Asher’s debut book Thirteen Reasons Why and to attend a presentation by the author at Nutt Auditorium on Saturday morning during the book conference. Students are also invited to meet the visiting authors during a book signing at Square Books Jr. 3:30–4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27.
