Ann Abadie to receive Thad Cochran Award for Achievement in the Humanities at the Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration

Ann J. Abadie, professor emerita of the University of Mississippi, founding member of the Southern Foodways Alliance, and original organizer of the Oxford Conference for the Book, will be honored with the Thad Cochran Award for Achievement in the Humanities at the Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration later this week. At this year’s Book Conference, Abadie will be on the panel with the University Press of Mississippi helping to celebrate fifty years of academic publishing at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the J. D. Williams Library on the University of Mississippi campus.
